WHY I'M CARRYING THE WEIGHT
I served as an Army Ranger with 3rd Ranger Battalion. After I got out, I went through some of the hardest years of my life. Most of us were trained to push through physical and emotional pain and keep moving. For a while, that's exactly what I did, and it nearly cost me everything.
I came through it. A lot of guys don't.

Now I'm a strength and conditioning coach and endurance athlete in Missoula, Montana. I've rebuilt, and I feel a responsibility to do something with that.
THE PLAN
On December 18, I'm covering 100 miles in a plate carrier on the trail around Lady Bird Lake in Austin. That's ten loops, with a goal of finishing in under 24 hours. Every mile is for a veteran who's still in the fight.
The goal is $100,000. That's $1,000 a mile, and every dollar goes to Mission 22.

Most of my training happens before sunrise, while my family is still asleep.

This isn't a stunt. It's a statement. Veterans deserve to know there's a way through, and organizations like Mission 22 are part of how they find it. Help me send that message loudly.
Mission 22 provides personalized, no-cost programs designed to meet the mental, emotional, and physical challenges Veterans face. The Recovery + Resiliency Program is a comprehensive, science-backed approach to long-term wellness—integrating mindfulness, coaching, and fitness. The R+R Coaching program is a one-on-one, non-clinical health coaching program with trained facilitators who walk alongside Veterans to regain clarity and strength with growth and purpose.
