Cycling for the 22

On September 1, 2027, I will begin a multi-state bicycle ride from Mission 22's Soaring Memorial in Nashville, Indiana, to their War at Home Memorial in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, raising awareness for PTS and Veteran suicide and supporting the mission of Mission 22.
I will complete the bike ride journey then finish with a 22 mile run to the Memorial.
This ride is deeply personal to me. Six years ago, I set out on a nearly 700-mile bicycle ride with one goal: to remind our Veterans that they are seen, valued, and not fighting alone. The War at Home Memorial was meant to be part of that journey, but because of circumstances surrounding COVID, I never had the opportunity to see it. Ever since, I have carried the feeling that my mission wasn't finished.
A lot has happened in those six years. I have fought battles of my own, including trauma, addiction, loss, and times when I nearly lost the will to keep fighting. I fought my way back, found healing, and found my fire again. Now I'm ready to finish what I started.
Cycling for the 22 is my way of using every mile to remind Veterans who may be fighting a battle no one else can see that there is a stranger out here fighting for them, praying for them, and reminding them that their story is not over. I ride for every Veteran still fighting. I ride for every family who has lost someone they love.
And I ride for the 22
